Ingredients

  • 4 Zupan’s Handmade Burger Patties
  • Kosher salt
  • Freshly ground black pepper
  • 8 slices bacon
  • 4 buns, split and toasted (I use a sesame bun or a Kaiser roll)
  • 1 tomato
  • 4 slices Swiss Emmenthaler cheese
  • Lettuce & ketchup, quantity as desired

Blue Cheese Sauce:

  • 4 oz. blue cheese, crumbled (we recommend Rogue Creamery Oregon Blue or Aged Gorgonzola)
  • 2 T mayonnaise
  • 1 t. Worcestershire sauce

Preparation

Cook bacon slices in pan until crispy and golden, about 4 minutes. Flip and cook a few minutes more on the other side until done. Remove bacon and set aside on paper towel to drain.

Preheat grill to high. Season the patties with salt and pepper, then grill about 4 minutes per side.

Serve burgers hot on toasted buns spread with blue cheese sauce. Add bacon, tomato, Swiss cheese, lettuce, ketchup, and Beer-battered Onion Rings as desired.

Blue Cheese Sauce:

In a medium bowl, stir together blue cheese, mayonnaise, and Worcestershire sauce until combined. Refrigerate the sauce until needed.
