Owned by the sister duo of Tressa & Katie, Salt Fire & Time was built with the hope of reinvigorating old world culinary traditions to create nutrient dense, nourishing bone broths.
Created with pasture raised bones from local farmers that do not use antibiotics or hormones, the bones are simmered for 72 hours with carrots, onions and raw cider vinegar, creating a rich gelatinous broth that contains minerals easily absorbed by the body including calcium, magnesium, phosphorus, silicon and sulphur. In addition, it contains broken down material from cartilage and tendons which include chondroitin sulphates and glucosamine, both known to help alleviate arthritis and joint pain. After cooking the broths are immediately packaged and frozen in order to capture the nutrition in its purest form.
Try a warm cup in the morning as a nourishing tonic, or use as a base for soups, sauces, grains or beans. Due to the broth’s density, it is recommended to dilute with water or vegetable stock, unless the broth is consumed as your whole meal.
Currently available in Chicken, Beef, Turkey or Bison and located in our frozen food aisle.
