ABOUT THE WINERY

Pio Cesare Winery, founded in 1881 in the historic center of Alba, is one of Piedmont’s most storied, family‑run estates. Now led by the fifth generation, the winery farms 70–80 hectares across the prized hills of Barolo and Barbaresco, crafting wines that reflect the region’s exceptional terroir. Built atop ancient Roman walls, the historic cellar symbolizes the family’s blend of tradition and innovation—an approach rooted in sustainable viticulture, meticulous vineyard selection, and a commitment to expressing the character of Nebbiolo through benchmark Barolo and Barbaresco.

Price valid through February 10, 2026. While supplies last.

Perfect Pairings

Pecorino Pistachio

A hidden gem and a cheesemonger favorite. Creamy-yet-slicable young Pecorino where the traditional earthy tones and bright salinity are balanced by a hint of sweetness & nuttiness from pistachios.

Golfera Mortadella with Pistachio

Sliced-to-order in our deli.

A luxurious salami from Lavezzola, Emilia‑Romagna, made with tender pork and buttery pistachios. Lightly spiced for an aromatic lift, it offers a silky, rosy slice with delicate, creamy marbling.
