Summary
We are seeking an experienced Floral Department Team Member to join our Lake Oswego Floral team, known for stunning arrangements, high-quality products, and exceptional customer service. Ideal candidates have experience in floral operations, customer interaction, and a strong understanding of flowers and plant care. This role supports daily floral operations, including assisting customers, taking and coordinating orders, processing flowers, stocking/merchandising, cleaning, and helping with department projects. Additional duties may include floral deliveries and occasional event/set-up support.
Must have a valid driver’s license, be able to work indoors/outdoors, lift 15–40 lbs, and be available weekends and holidays. Competitive pay based on experience.
Duties & Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional customer service; greet and assist all customers in the department
• Take, coordinate, and fulfill floral orders; answer phones with proper etiquette
• Process and clean flowers for sale; wash containers/tools as needed
• Stock, rotate, and merchandise product; keep supplies filled and organized
• Maintain accurate pricing and signage
• Document transfers, waste, and spoilage using appropriate forms (when applicable)
• Maintain a clean, safe department; safely use and maintain tools and equipment
• Deliver and/or set up floral orders when needed
• Maintain regular and reliable attendance

Education & Experience
Prior floral shop experience required and High school diploma or GED preferred.
Language Skills
Ability to read and interpret business and technical information, and communicate effectively with managers, vendors, and customers.
Mathematical Skills
Basic math skills, including addition/subtraction/multiplication/division and calculating percentages.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to define problems, gather information, and solve practical issues.
Physical Demands
• Stand for extended periods; frequent bending, stooping, stretching, and lifting
• Push/pull carts with heavy loads; use stairs regularly
• Safe use of box cutters, knives, and other department tools
• Frequently lift/move up to 40 lbs (items over 40 lbs require a team lift)
• Work indoors and outdoors in varying temperatures
• Ability to safely operate a vehicle (when applicable)
Work Environment
• Exposure to temperature changes, wet conditions, background noise, and occasional uneven/slippery surfaces
• Frequent reaching above/below shoulder height; may use ladder/stool to access product/supplies
