ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Provide our customers with exceptional customer service.
- Give the customer your full attention, greeting all customers in departments.
- Respond to special requests from customers in a timely manner.
- Understand why our products are different than conventional stores and be able to explain to customers.
- Assist and support the Front End staff with all department functions.
- Ensure department personnel are trained, assigned tasks and held accountable to accomplishing tasks per company standards.
- Maintain awareness of all sales floor operations and departments during your shift to ensure the departments/store are inviting and properly stocked.
- Work with team members to ensure the selling floor/aisles are cleared and well maintained.
- Maintain correct department signage and pricing.
- Ensure that all shelves and displays are properly stocked, rotated and front facing.
- Maintain back stock in good order and rotated.
- Operate cash register. Collect payment for purchases and accurately make change.
- Process vendor and in-store coupons.
- Adhere to state laws regarding purchase/sale of alcohol and tobacco products.
- Maintain correct cash drawer setup funds, exchange cash and change with bookkeepers.
- Maintain secure custody of all cash, cash or loan tills, register keys and bags.
- Practice proper care and maintenance of all equipment.
- Help cross-merchandise product with other departments.
- Assist with scheduled inventories.
- This position is full-time.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervise 2+ associates.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
At least one year experience as lead cashier/trainer. Prior grocery experience preferred.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures and government regulations. Ability to effectively present information to and respond to questions from other managers, store managers vendors & customers.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Strong basic math skills including the ability to add, multiply, divide, subtract and calculate percentages. Knowledge of Microsoft Office application including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, and discounts.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to solve practical problems.
