Serving Size: Serves 4

A warm, spiced drink is what I crave during wintertime, and this delightful, comforting tea is my favorite one to make.

  • 2 cups water
  • 2 cinnamon sticks
  • 6 whole cloves
  • 2 tea bags (any kind)
  • 1½ cups freshly squeezed grapefruit juice
  • Honey or agave nectar, to taste

  1. Combine water, cinnamon, and cloves in a medium saucepan. Bring to a boil over medium heat, then remove from heat. Steep the tea bags in the saucepan for 5 minutes, then remove tea bags.
  2. Add grapefruit juice and honey or agave nectar, adjusting as desired. Heat the mixture through again, stirring until the honey or agave nectar is dissolved, then serve warm.
