A warm, spiced drink is what I crave during wintertime, and this delightful, comforting tea is my favorite one to make.
- 2 cups water
- 2 cinnamon sticks
- 6 whole cloves
- 2 tea bags (any kind)
- 1½ cups freshly squeezed grapefruit juice
- Honey or agave nectar, to taste
- Combine water, cinnamon, and cloves in a medium saucepan. Bring to a boil over medium heat, then remove from heat. Steep the tea bags in the saucepan for 5 minutes, then remove tea bags.
- Add grapefruit juice and honey or agave nectar, adjusting as desired. Heat the mixture through again, stirring until the honey or agave nectar is dissolved, then serve warm.
