This Zupan’s take on the classic sangria highlights our fresh squeezed orange juice and a favorite local Oregon red wine, Hundred Suns 2021 Pinot Noir. Paired with Cointreau and brandy, this drink is perfectly balanced and free from processed sugar. To level up the sweetness, add more agave, but make sure to let the wine shine! Top off with sparking wine to make the cocktail extra special.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups (approx ½ bottle or 500 ml) Pinot Noir (we love Hundred Suns 2021 Pinot Noir)
  • 2 cups (500 ml) Zupan’s fresh squeezed orange juice
  • ⅓ cup (approx 78 ml)  Cointreau
  • ⅓ cup (approx 78 ml)  Brandy (we love El Maestro Sierra)
  • ½ – 2 oz agave (to taste)
  • Sparkling wine of choice ( we love Argyle’s 2017 Sparkling from Willamette Valley)
  • Fruit for garnish: optional use of some or all – cherries, nectarines, oranges, strawberries

Preparation

  1. Add all 5 first ingredients to a large pitcher and stir.
  2. Fill the pitcher with ice and fruit of choice.  If you’re topping with the optional sparkling wine, top individual glasses off just before serving and then garnish as you please. Serve immediately and enjoy!
