Tater Tot Waffle with Crème Fraiche and Caviar

Turn tater tots into a crispy waffle, topped with crème fraiche & caviar, for a low-brow-meets-high-brow dish!

Low-brow meets high-brow in this fun presentation that turns everyday Tater Tots into a crispy waffle reminiscent of a potato pancake or rosti. Top with crème fraiche and caviar for that decadent touch.


  • 28 oz bag Tater Tots, such as Alexia Potato Puffs, defrosted to room temperature
  • Creme fraiche or sour cream
  • 2 oz. jar caviar 
  • Chopped chives


Defrost Tater Tots to room temperature. Preheat waffle iron until hot. Spray waffle iron with non-stick spray and add cover surface with half the Tater Tots. Close waffle iron, pressing down if necessary, and cook until golden brown and crispy, Cut waffle into 8 edges, top with crème fraiche and caviar. Garnish with chopped chives and serve immediately. Make another waffle with remaining Tater Tots
