Oatly is a Swedish-based company that creates delicious 100% oatmilk. It is the perfect milk alternative for people that don’t like or can’t have cow’s milk. The plant-based drink was originally developed in the 1990s and today, the company continues to make non-GMO liquid oats for people’s enjoyment. The oats are developed with a special patented enzyme technology which first begins milling oats and water into a soft texture. They’re then added to enzyme tanks and the oat starch is broken down into smaller components which allows for a natural sweetening process. The oat shells are loosened to create a delicious oat base and after a heat treatment to help extend shelf life, the nutritious oatmilk, is packaged and ready for enjoyment.
The products have no added sugar and are not overly sweet or excessively heavy. They are dairy, soy, gluten, nut & GMO FREE and rich with fiber, calcium and vitamins B12, A and D2! Currently, you can find the barista-style edition of Oatly’s oatmilk in our cafes and on our grocery shelves. Perfect for your morning cappuccino, latte, or even tea.
