Force of Nature Meats

100% grass fed, pasture raised and regeneratively sourced meat available in Zupan's frozen section.

Raised with Intention

Force of Nature is a modern meat company grounded in a simple belief: when animals, land, and people work in balance, better food naturally follows. Built on the principles of regenerative agriculture, Force of Nature meat is 100% grass fed, Pasture Raised and Regeneratively Sourced. The focus is on how meat is raised, how land is cared for, and how food systems can create a positive impact over time.

What We Carry

We’re proud at Zupan’s to offer Force of Nature as part of our thoughtfully curated frozen meat selection.

Ground Bison – Lean, savory, and deeply satisfying, ground bison cooks much like beef but with a slightly sweeter, richer flavor. Ideal for burgers, meatballs, or chili when you want something hearty but not heavy.
Ground Venison – Tender and mild with a clean finish, ground venison is far from gamey. It shines in pasta sauces, shepherd’s pie, or blended into burgers for added depth without overpowering flavor.
Ground Elk – Lean and smooth with a subtly sweet taste, ground elk is incredibly versatile. Use it anywhere you’d use ground beef, especially tacos, sloppy joes, or lettuce wraps.
Ground Wild Boar – Rich, juicy, and slightly nutty, wild boar brings bold flavor to burgers, ragu, or dumplings. A great choice for cooks looking to try something new without straying too far from comfort food.

A Company Rooted in Regeneration

Based in Austin, Texas, Force of Nature is made up of land stewards, conservationists, ranchers, and consumers on a shared mission: to create a regenerative supply chain that improves both soil health and human health through better‑raised meat.

The company partners with ranchers who practice regenerative agriculture which means working with nature, not against it. Aiming to restore soil, support biodiversity, and build long‑term resilience into our food system. At its core, Force of Nature believes meat can be part of the solution when it’s raised with care, transparency, and intention.

Where Force of Nature Comes From

Force of Nature’s co‑founders operate a multi‑species ranch in Fredericksburg, Texas, supplying bison and seasonal turkeys. Beyond that, the company sources from small and mid‑size ranches across the U.S. and New Zealand, all aligned with regenerative practices.

What Regenerative Really Means

Sustainable farming is no longer enough. Topsoil is a limited natural resource, and it’s disappearing at an alarming rate. Without healthy soil, long‑term food security isn’t possible.

Regenerative agriculture offers a solution. One that not only helps protect our ability to grow food, but also plays a role in reversing climate change.

At its core, regenerative agriculture is a holistic approach to farming and ranching, guided by five key principles:

  • Minimize mechanical and chemical soil disturbance
  • Keep soil covered
  • Increase biodiversity
  • Maintain living roots year‑round
  • Integrate animals thoughtfully into the system
  • Together, these practices help restore soil health rather than deplete it.

Why It Makes a difference

Foods raised regeneratively deliver benefits that go far beyond farming philosophy. Regeneratively raised meats are:

  • More flavorful and more nutrient‑dense
  • Better for wildlife and biodiversity
  • Raised to the highest standards of animal welfare
  • Produced with fewer inputs—no need for chemicals, fertilizers, or complex watering systems
  • Supportive of local economies
  • A tool in combating climate change
  • In other words, better land leads to better food.

Is Regenerative the Same as Organic?

Not exactly and Force of Nature believes it goes further.

While organic farming restricts certain chemicals, large‑scale organic operations can still rely on monocropping and feedlot systems. Organic livestock may still spend their lives eating organic corn and soy in confined conditions.

100% grass‑fed, pasture‑raised, regenerative systems prioritize natural animal behavior, diverse ecosystems, and true soil restoration; resulting in a higher standard of protein overall.

Is It Certified?

Regenerative agriculture is an ancient practice, but its use in modern food systems is still evolving. Certification programs are in development, much like organic standards were 20 years ago.

In the meantime, Force of Nature uses an extremely rigorous supplier vetting process, partnering only with producers who meet the highest standards in:

  • Animal care
  • Land management
  • Year‑over‑year improvements on the land

As a result, their products often exceed what current certifications can guarantee.
