Founded by best friends and naval architects John Wise and Wombi Rose with the mission of making it easy for people to do something creative and meaningful for loved ones. When the two friends were on a Harvard Business School trip to Vietnam, they discovered kirigami – a version of origami that includes both the cutting and folding of paper. Combining their engineering and business background with this paper cutting art form, Lovepop was born.
Lovepop’s gorgeous laser-cut pop-up cards are designed on ship-building software and handcrafted in Boston and Vietnam. Their mission is to create magical moments and shared connections between the giver and the receiver. Featured on ABC’s Shark Tank in 2015 and earning an investment from Kevin “Mr. Wonderful” O’Leary, Lovepop has since created hundreds of unique designs for every occasion.
