- Zupan’s Market Organic Olive Oil
- 1lb ground sirloin
- 1 T dried oregano
- ¼ t red pepper flakes
- 4 t garlic, minced
- Pinch of salt
- Pinch of pepper
- 1 ¼ C dry red wine
- 1 jar Zupan’s Marinara sauce
- ¾ lb Orecchiette pasta, or pasta of choice
- ¼ t ground nutmeg
- ¼ C heavy cream
- ¼ C fresh basil
- ½ C freshly grated Parmesan
Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Add 2 tbsp. olive oil and brown the ground beef.
Add oregano, red pepper flakes, garlic, salt, pepper, and red wine and stir to combine. When the red wine has reduced by half, add the marinara sauce. Simmer for 20-30 minutes.
While the sauce is simmering, cook the pasta.
Finish the sauce off the heat with nutmeg, heavy cream, basil, and Parmesan. Toss sauce with pasta and garnish with Parmesan and basil.
