Smoky Oat Milk Maple Drinking Chocolate

The perfect batch beverage for your winter party!

This is an amazing drink to make for a group of friends. We’ve provided it here in a single or batch of 6 for your convenience. Just make sure that the batch doesn’t boil. It should only be brought to a warm temperature and then removed from heat to serve immediately. If you’re preparing it for a party and want to keep it warm for an evening of enjoyment, this is where your handy crock pot comes in. Keep it on low and enjoy all night long!

Ingredients

Serves 1:

  • 3/4 cup Oatly oat milk (or non dairy alternative of choice)
  • 4 tbsp dark chocolate Fran’s hot cocoa mix
  • 2 tbsp Runamok bourbon barrel aged maple syrup
  • 1/2oz (or more, to taste) For Bitter For Worse – Smoky no. 56
  • 1/4 tsp vanilla bean paste
  • Garnish: whipped cream, chocolate bar chunks, marshmallow (toasted), chocolate sauce

Serves 6:

  • 4 1/2 cup Oatly oat milk (or non dairy alternative of choice)
  • 1 1/2 cups dark chocolate Fran’s hot cocoa mix
  • 3/4 cups Runamok bourbon barrel aged maple syrup
  • 3oz (or more, to taste) For Bitter For Worse – Smoky no. 56
  • 1 1/2 tsp vanilla bean paste
  • Garnish: whipped cream, chocolate bar chunks, marshmallow (toasted), chocolate sauce

Preparation

In a medium saucepan, under medium low heat, warm oat milk. Add chocolate and whisk to combine, ensuring to keep heat low so the mixture doesn’t boil. Add remaining ingredients. Before serving, taste and make any potential adjustments to meet your perfect preference. You can’t go wrong! Enjoy immediately after garnishing.
