THE COCOTTE

The star of the STAUB brand, each cocotte is cast in a mold made of sand and takes about one week to make from start to finish. The interior is enameled with a high-quality black matte finish that requires no seasoning and has ideal properties for searing, roasting, and caramelizing food. The heavyweight, tight-fitting lid retains moisture and the tiny bumps on the lid interior create a rainforest effect returning juices back onto the food, for a moist, perfectly cooked meal each time. Oven safe to 500°F and smooth bottom works on all stovetops, including induction.
