Try our wild salmon from Two Rivers Fish Co.

Located in the small town of Rufus, Oregon along the Columbia River, Two Rivers Fish Co. was started by Wendy Boyer in 2015. Boyer partners with fishers of the 4 treaty tribes that fish the Columbia River (Umatilla, Nez Perce, Warm Springs & Yakama) to purchase wild salmon. These tribes utilize the platform fishing method along the Columbia River that has been a tradition for thousands of years. With hoop nets attached to long poles, tribal members fish from platforms all along the river – In Zone 6 from the Bonneville Dam to the John Day Dam.

Two Rivers has developed a unique education program, including HACCP training and certification for their Native fishermen partners. Each fisherman that Two Rivers buys from has been educated on the proper bleeding and icing methods, to ensure that fish are handled with the utmost quality and care. Each fish purchased is inspected individually, both inside and out – a process that takes more time and manpower, but ensures only the highest quality is obtained. Additionally, Two Rivers also has a unique traceability program. Each fish purchased is tagged and can be traced back to the individual tribal fisher that caught the fish.

Zupan’s is proud to partner with Two Rivers Fish Co. to provide our customers with the freshest, best-tasting salmon available. Like Wendy says, “the only fish fresher is still in the river!”
